Writer's Block: Toy box travesties - Wynne's Notes

Jun. 25th, 2011 09:55 pm Writer's Block: Toy box travesties

What childhood toy did you desperately want that your parents refused to give you? Do you still think about getting one?
I always wanted a big wooden doll house where you had all the furniture and curtains, rugs, decorations growing up. I never got one because my parents always said it was too expensive to buy each of the pieces of furniture. Once I became an adult and had my own kids, I just never had the time or money to purchase one for myself. My own daughters never wanted one but wanted Barbie houses or Little Tykes one and I made sure that I bought for them. Now that I am a grandma, I hope to buy the big wooden doll house for Laila when she gets old enough to take care of one.
